At Afriqmart, we aim to provide a smooth and trustworthy shopping experience by connecting customers with authentic products and services from African-owned businesses. Since Afriqmart is a marketplace platform, cancellations are handled based on individual seller policies.
Please read the following to understand how cancellations work on www.afriqmart.com.
📦 Order Cancellations
✅ Before Shipment
- If you need to cancel an order, you must contact the seller directly as soon as possible.
- Cancellations are only allowed before the item has been shipped.
- Each seller may have specific rules regarding cancellation windows (e.g., within 24 hours of purchase).
❌ After Shipment
- Once an order has been marked as shipped or fulfilled, it cannot be canceled.
- You may still request a return or refund in line with the seller’s Return & Refund Policy.
⏳ How to Request a Cancellation
- Log in to your Afriqmart account.
- Go to My Orders.
- Select the order you wish to cancel.
- Click Contact Seller and send a cancellation request.
- Wait for the seller’s confirmation.
If the seller agrees to cancel and the item hasn’t shipped, a full refund will be issued to your original payment method.
💳 Refund Timeline
- If your cancellation is approved, refunds are processed within 5–10 business days depending on your payment provider.
🚫 Automatic Cancellations
An order may be automatically canceled if:
- The seller is unable to fulfill it.
- Payment is not completed successfully.
- The order violates Afriqmart's policies.
In these cases, you will be notified, and a full refund will be issued.

All sellers are expected to:
- Clearly communicate cancellation terms on their product or store pages.
- Respond promptly to cancellation requests.
- Update order statuses accurately and on time.
