Cancellation Policy

At Afriqmart, we aim to provide a smooth and trustworthy shopping experience by connecting customers with authentic products and services from African-owned businesses. Since Afriqmart is a marketplace platform, cancellations are handled based on individual seller policies.

Please read the following to understand how cancellations work on www.afriqmart.com.

📦 Order Cancellations

Before Shipment

  1. If you need to cancel an order, you must contact the seller directly as soon as possible.
  2. Cancellations are only allowed before the item has been shipped.
  3. Each seller may have specific rules regarding cancellation windows (e.g., within 24 hours of purchase).

After Shipment

  1. Once an order has been marked as shipped or fulfilled, it cannot be canceled.
  2. You may still request a return or refund in line with the seller’s Return & Refund Policy.

How to Request a Cancellation

  1. Log in to your Afriqmart account.
  2. Go to My Orders.
  3. Select the order you wish to cancel.
  4. Click Contact Seller and send a cancellation request.
  5. Wait for the seller’s confirmation.

If the seller agrees to cancel and the item hasn’t shipped, a full refund will be issued to your original payment method.

💳 Refund Timeline

  1. If your cancellation is approved, refunds are processed within 5–10 business days depending on your payment provider.

🚫 Automatic Cancellations

An order may be automatically canceled if:

  1. The seller is unable to fulfill it.
  2. Payment is not completed successfully.
  3. The order violates Afriqmart's policies.

In these cases, you will be notified, and a full refund will be issued.

🔁 Note to Sellers

All sellers are expected to:

  1. Clearly communicate cancellation terms on their product or store pages.
  2. Respond promptly to cancellation requests.
  3. Update order statuses accurately and on time.
